I’m Kary, and I grew up in NE Portland, Grant High School class of ‘88. I care deeply about the livability of our neighborhoods as we experience rising temperatures and other challenges due to climate change. We can see these changes in our own yards. My 50-year-old roses bloomed year round for the first time. It is obvious that many trees, bushes, plants, insects and wildlife are struggling to adapt to the changing climate - this is a warning to us all. Our street tree canopy is the only thing that can keep our neighborhoods livable. Please spread the word.
